Sukiyaki lunch for 1600 yen, 0 minutes walk from Shin-Nihonbashi Station – Yotsuya –

投稿日:2018-11-19 更新日:

The shop is located on the first basement floor, inside the Shin-Nihonbashi Station building.

There’s only one sign above ground, making it a hidden gem known only to those in the know.

Despite its location near Nihonbashi, the exterior is quite inviting.

Outlook(From Restaurant HP)

The restaurant has both table seating and a tatami room in the back, but I always eat lunch at a table.

Inside(From Restaurant HP)

I was taken to this restaurant by a colleague.

The restaurant isn’t very spacious, but there are partitions between tables, giving it a sense of privacy.

Also, perhaps due to its location, I’ve never had to wait in line, even during lunchtime.

Being able to eat lunch without waiting in line, especially when lunchtime is limited, is a real blessing.

Upon entering, a waitress in a kimono brings tea and a hot towel.

The lunch menu is extensive, starting from 980 yen, but my recommendation is definitely the “Sukiyaki Set Meal.”

When I wanted to treat myself a little at lunchtime, I would eat this Sukiyaki Set Meal at Yotsuya.

For 1,600 yen, you can enjoy a sukiyaki pot with a large portion of meat, which is quite a bargain.

There are plenty of vegetables underneath the meat as well.

The sukiyaki pot sits overflowing on the tray, accompanied by a side dish, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), pickles, rice, miso soup, and even fruit for dessert.

Other lunch menu options include:

Crab porridge set meal, yam porridge set meal, sashimi set meal, sukiyaki set meal, and more.

There also seems to be a shabu-shabu course featuring Maezawa beef available for lunch (reservations required), so it could be used for a quick business lunch if you reserve a private room.

In the evening, in addition to à la carte dishes, there seem to be some more expensive menu options.

I’d love to be treated to A5-grade beef like that!

My Memo:The location can be difficult to find, especially for first-timers, so first, aim for the Hanamasa Meat Shop Shin-Nihonbashi branch. Once you find the Hanamasa Meat Shop Shin-Nihonbashi branch, with Hanamasa behind you, you’ll see the highway on your right. Cross the pedestrian crossing on that side, and the shop will be on your left. Go down the stairs to the entrance of Shin-Nihonbashi Station (Exit 8), and you’ll find the shop there.
